Conference Venue
The conference will be held at the Stayokay Hostel in Egmond.

The conference room at the hostel has all facilities essential for a modern day lecture room (beamer, projection screen, curtains for darkening, air-conditioned & air-controlled) with a capacity of 160 people. A nearby smaller conference room will be used as poster area.
The hostel is located on the countryside, in the Kennemer Dunes, a 30 minute walk away from the center of Egmond aan Zee and the beach.
With its capacity of 188 beds (45 rooms) the hostel has enough space for housing all the participants. All rooms at the hostel offer basic facilities with shower/toilet. Breakfast, lunch and diner will be served at the hostel dining room for full-board participants.
The hostel offers free WiFi to all participants at the lounge area, in the conference rooms and at the bar. (There is no WiFi available in the rooms.) Active participants can also hire a bike and explore the beautiful surrounding of the Hostel.
The bar opens after the last lecture of the day and stays open until the last participant goes to bed.
In addition to the 4 person rooms, there are a limited number of 1 or 2 person rooms available, which will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. The registration fee for a double room is €250,- per person. The registration fee for a single room is €350,- per person.
House rules of the IMC venue
The Stayokay Egmond is a modern hostel. On the hostel’s website you will find comprehensive information about the venue. The organization made an arrangement for the rooms complying with your requirements as much as possible. The beds in the hostel are equipped with bedding, and two towels for each for the duration of the congress. More towels are available for an additional fee.
The rooms are available as of Thursday, June 2, 15:00. You are welcome to enter the IMC conference venue as of 14:00. If you arrive very early that day, we advise you to make your own plans for the morning. For example: a visit to Amsterdam or the historical city of Alkmaar, not far from the congress venue. In any case we ask not to arrive at the Stayokay hostel earlier than 14.00.
In the public areas of the hostel, for example the lobby, it’s prohibited to drink alcoholic beverages you purchased elsewhere than in the hostel. During the conference free water, coffee and tea are provided. During breakfast, lunch and dinner also adequate drinking will be served. Each evening the IMC bar is open, where you can buy drinks with coins. These drink coins can be purchased for € 1.50 each. At the bar you can buy soft drinks, draft beer and glasses of wine for one coin. Special beers are on sale for 2 coins per bottle. Spirits and mixed drinks with vodka for example costs 3 coins per glass. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the hostel, not in the public areas and not in the rooms. In The Netherlands drinking alcoholic beverages is prohibited for people younger than 18 years. The organization will stick to this rule during the IMC.
